Pizza Hut Launches ‘Tomato Wine’ That Tastes Like Pizza

Pizza Hut has launched a limited-edition tomato wine that “captures the essence of your favourite slice in every sip”.

The chain has joined forces with Kansas-based Irvine’s Just Beyond Paradise Winery to create the unique beverage, which is made from ripened tomatoes and herbs - not grapes. 

The tomato wine is also said to have a “subtle hint of toasted oak – reminiscent of a perfectly baked pizza crust.” 

Priced at US$25 (around AUD$38), the tomato wine may be red in colour but is advertised as tasting similar to a white wine when chilled. 

Launching in the US just in time for the holiday season, the bizarre beverage has certainly caused a stir and has already sold out online due to exceptionally high demand.
