Al Pacino Shares Update On One-Year-Old Son And Being A Dad At 84

Al Pacino has shared an update on his one-year-old son Roman, saying they mainly communicate via text.

Pacino, 84, doesn’t live with 16-month-old Roman, who he shares with ex-partner Noor Alfallah, and told the BBC that much of their contact is virtual.

“He does text me from time to time,” Pacino said.

“Everything he does is real. Everything he does is interesting to me. So, we talk. I play the harmonica with him on the other video thing, and we have made this kind of contact. So, it’s fun.”

The Scarface star revealed that becoming a father for the fourth time at age 83 was part of the reason why he decided to pen his new memoir, Sonny Boy.

The book will ensure Pacino’s youngest child can learn about his father’s story.

“I want to be around for this child. And I hope I am,” the actor said. “I hope I stay healthy, and he knows who his dad is, of course.”

Pacino, who has never married,  is also father to three adult children, Julie Marie, 35, and twins Anton and Olivia, 23.
