New York based TikToker Nancy posted a video breaking down all the money she spends preparing for a date with eyebrow appointments and manicures, saying "I'm actually splitting the bill before I even get to the date."
Leading up to a date, Nancy will take a cycling exercise class (USD$38), get her eyebrows tweezed ($38 + $10 tip) and get a fresh manicure ($75 + $10 tip).
Nancy also discussed the cost of doing her hair and make-up, using a $52 blush, $36 bronzer, $32 highlighter, $26 lip gloss, $22 concealer and 6.49 curl cream.
"Regardless of the cost of the check at the end of the date, I am spending money to show up," Nancy says in the video, arguing that men don't put in nearly the same amount of effort.
"Meanwhile, the guy hasn't had a haircut in weeks and shows up in the outfit he wore to the office."
